Waukesha Service Club

Organized June 1930

Thrift Shop

The Thrift Shop was started in 1939 during the Great Depression. by the mayor’s wife and 17 ladies. She made them go through their closets and bring their stuff in so people could use it. The ladies would give out clothing to those in need and they would also hand out bread in bread lines and as thing got better, they would sell items for reasonable prices.

The WSC Thrift Shop is 100% volunteer run. We take donations from the public during the hours that the store is open.  When items are donated, WSC volunteers sort, price and put the merchandise out on the floor for purchase.

The proceeds from your donations go directly back to the community. The Thrift Shop works with socials workers who provide family assistance to those in need.  Their clients can come to the The Thrift Shop and pick up some items for free.  Monetary assistance is provided when needed for items such as food, rent, and gas.

Come in and shop and find terrific deals!  The Thrift Shop offers discounts on a weekly basis along with customer appreciation days, bag days and free day! A changeover takes place at the shop twice a year in which the store is completely cleaned out and the merchandise left on the last day goes to the community for free.

Every Wednesday, Senior shoppers 55 years and older receive 25% off.
VETERANS RECEIVE 25% off EVERY DAY!

COVID – 19 safety protocols are implemented to provide a safe and healthy experience in our
